The AI-Asas series for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers of different nationalities uses modern and advanced educational techniques to provide students with core understandings of the Arabic language and proper usage.
AI-Asas consists of six books that cover all levels from beginner to advanced so that learners can transition smoothly and gradually from one level to the next.
The series is based on international reference frameworks and standards for languages, such as the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) as well as the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), with regards to language levels and skills (from listening and conversation to reading and writing) and linguistic, communicative, and cultural proficiency.
The series is unique in that it approaches grammatical issues from a functional angle.
Beginner Level: Book 2
This book introduces essential Arabic skills through engaging content, including:
- Real-Life Dialogues: Eleven lessons with dialogues that teach students how to communicate effectively within Arab communities.
- Grammar and Morphology: Practical grammatical and morphological rules that aid comprehension and speaking
- Enrichment and Listening Texts: Each lesson features a variety of texts, such as poems, articles, or dialogues, tied to the lesson's theme.
- Comprehensive Exercises: Activities designed to develop all four language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Bilingual Vocabulary Lists: Key vocabulary at the start of each lesson, with English translations to support learning.
- Appendices for Review: Four appendices, including one dedicated to review exercises, with additional resources available on the Noorart application.
- Global Accessibility: A precise translation of the original Arabic version, making it accessible to learners worldwide.
